It was founded in 2002 by  Reid Hoffman, Jean-Luc Vaillant, Konstantin Guericke, Eric Ly, on Blue mountain view in California, United States. It operates via websites and mobile apps. The platform is primarily used for career development and allows jobs seekers to post their CVs and employers to post jobs.

What is LinkedIn used for?

We can use LinkedIn to find the right jobs or internship, and to learn the skills you need to succeed in your career. Also, we can display our resume, and it is designed to help people make business connections. There are settings on LinkedIn that alert recruiters that you’re actively job searching, and we can comment on other people’s posts as well.

What are the benefits of having a profile on LinkedIn?

First, having a LinkedIn profile is the best thing because it’s a free account. Second, it gives us the ability to showcase our profile that will allow us to have an online personal brand which means when our name is put into the search our online personal brand profile will appear in the search results engine. Also, having a LinkedIn profile will help us to build trust with employers as they can see our recommendations and connections.
